The Strategy and International Affairs Commission (CSAI) is tasked with developing 3AF's strategic thinking, calling on other commissions where necessary, and stimulating international analysis in the fields of aeronautics, astronautics, space, defense and security.and to stimulate international analysis in the fields of aeronautics, astronautics, space, defense and security. It provides a forum for exchange, consultation and debate between experts and professionals, with a view to fostering strategic and international thinking. It helps to harmonize actions with foreign counterparts in the field.
Areas of activity :
A cross-functional committee tasked with developing 3AF's strategic thinking, calling on other committees where necessary, and with conduct international analysis in the aerospace, defense and security sectors. The CSAI is a privileged meeting place for partners, technical or scientific experts and qualified personalities, to promote the strategic and international reflection of 3AF as a learned society. The Commission regularly invites qualified external speakers for hearings on specific technical, strategic or international subjects. Monthly discussion meetings enable members to exchange information, compare analyses and prepare summaries on issues of interest to 3AF members and partners, as well as external personalities or government officials, as appropriate.
The Commission's mission is to :
- To be a forum for reflection and proposals on strategic and international issues in the field of aerospace, security and defence;
- To provide a forum for the international affairs managers of 3AF member companies;
- Contribute to the activities of other commissions by stimulating strategic analysis and providing them with an international dimension;
- Coordinate with the Académie de l'air et de l'espace for shared thematic and strategic reflections or actions;
- Work with other CEAS member associations and coordinate the organization of events;
- Act as a correspondent for expert associations abroad, and in particular for the AIAA in the United States;
- Contribute to 3AF's influence in Europe and abroad, particularly in French-speaking countries, through publications, open thematic meetings, academic information exchanges, technical visits and cooperative workshops.
Activities :
Monthly working meetings, publication of specialized dossiers, strategic and international summaries in French and English, roadmaps or action plans; organization of hearings of high-level qualified personalities and industrial, scientific and technical experts, study missions on a given topic; preparation of debates between experts, thematic seminars and workshops; contribution to the organization of thematic symposia and international congresses.scientific and technical experts, study missions on a given subject; preparation of debates between experts, thematic seminars and workshops; contribution to the organization of thematic symposia and international congresses.
