H2 combustion

Premixed air for aircraft propulsion

3AF Conference by Paul Palies

This seminar presents recent results obtained in gaseouscombustion hydrogen-air at the laboratoryscale (1 atm, 295 K). The experimentaldemonstrations and the theory developed, based on decomposition static-dynamics of flows (Static Dynamic-Flow Decomposition), guiding the experiments are discussed. This research is resituated in the context of futureaeronautical propulsion taking into account a realisticoperating point .A method, enabling scaling in terms of flamestabilization between the laboratory and this operating point, is introduced. On theother hand, the seminar discusses briefly transport processes for the study of flamemixing and in order toreduce fuel burn in the context of SD-FD
