The Ile-de-France Group of the Association Aéronautique et Astronautique de France (3AF), in partnership with the "Centre" group of 3AF and the Groupement des Ingénieurs et Cadres Supérieurs de l'Aviation Civile (GIACRE), invites you to a conference entitled L'AVIATION EST NÉEAVEC LE PÉTROLE.... AND BEYOND?

This conference will be presented by Xavier Bouis, former General Technical Director of ONERA, and Chairman of the AAE's Energyand Environment Commission.

Abstract : Since 1800, fossil fuels have gradually freed us from the "survival" mode of our ancestors... Agriculture, medicine, housing, transport, industry, leisure time...With Jules Verne out of the way, the unthinkable is now accessible to many, if not all of us! How will air transport survive without this manna from heaven that is endangering the planet? Technical solutions, societal changes - time is running out to act.

The conference is free and open to all, but registration is recommended so that we can contact you if a change of date or time becomes necessary (Covid or other).
